Uncomfortable Airlines
29/04/08 14:50 Filed in: rant
I
just don't understand why airline seats are so uncomfortable. I am writing this blog entry somewhere north of Nova Scotia at 33,000 feet, having been stuck in this seat for 4 hours, with another three to go before I land in New York. Once there, I have to clear customs and then wait for another 3 hours before sitting in another airline seat for 2 1/2 hours.
I think that whoever designs these seats needs shooting. Wouldn't you have thought that one of the design criteria for a seat is that it should be comfortable for those poor fools who have to sit in them for hours on end? I know that they have to be hard-wearing, but do they need to be hard-wearing on my bum too?
While I am ranting, how come I always end up sat behind the pillock who thinks that it is OK to put their seat into the reclined position before we've even left the runway?
So why am I putting myself through this tedium and discomfort? Well, I am currently on my way to Florida for a spot of wildlife photography. For the next couple of weeks I am going to be sitting in a swamp, surrounded by alligators, photographing whatever I can find. I will try and update the website whilst away. Watch this space......
